Pat Quinn’s budget neglects the specifics on the great benefit of importing terrorists to Illinois for tourism and profit.  The Council of Economic Advisors has up to $1.1 Billion coming to Illinois (over 4 years) from construction, labor, and the terror-tour trade.

Let’s see now, Quinn ups the tax to 4%, that makes … $44 Million over four years, or $11 Million a year in gains from hosting Al-Queda on the banks of the Mississippi.  The budget deficit is roughly $13 Billion, so it would take  1,181 years to get out …

Will a court challenge from terrorists not wanting to move to Thomson, Illinois, put a monkey wrench in Illinois Economic Development Plans?  Could the 280 new jobs in tourism resulting from the terror prison be a bit of a stretch? Has there been some objection from family members to the style of antique shops and craft emporiums in Galena?

The State Department says it has revoked the U.S. visa of the Nigerian man suspected of trying to blow up a Northwest Airlines flight over Detroit on Christmas Day.
Spokesman P.J. Crowley said Tuesday that Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab’s visa was one of several the agency has revoked since the Dec. 25 incident as the result of a review into security procedures ordered by President Barack Obama. Crowley would not say when the decision on Abdulmutallab’s visa was made or how many others had been withdrawn.

U.S. to Suspend Gitmo Detainee Transfers to Yemen

The U.S. will not transfer any detainees from Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, to Yemen right now, White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs said Tuesday.
Ninety detainees in Gitmo are from Yemen, which is combating a resurgent Al Qaeda.
Alleged Christmas Day bomber Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab is also said to have gotten training in Yemen before carrying explosives on a Northwest flight from Amsterdam to Detroit. His attempt to detonate the bomb was foiled when his device malfunctioned and he was tackled by a passenger.
“One of the …

So say you were the Democratic Party and wanted to move a group of terrorists from Cuba to picturesque Western Illinois, near old-timey Galena. What are some of the steps you would take to build confidence in your ability to manage suicidal murderers?

Would you:
1) Have the director of Homeland Security declare that a failed aircraft bombing shows that the “system worked“?
2) Five days before the failed aircraft bombing, declare that you would continue to repatriate terrorists to Yemen, after sending 6 terrorists back in December?
3) Ten days later change …

Republicans won’t win back Illinois by demagoguing the possible transfer of Guantanamo Bay detainees to a largely vacant state prison in northwestern Illinois.
They’ve got too many winning issues — the bollixed state of Illinois, corruption and malfeasance, the cosmic health care legislation, President Barack Obama’s foreign policy weaknesses — to spend their time whining about the supposed dangers of depositing suspected terrorists in the Thomson Correctional Center. It’s as if Republicans were desperate for something to club Democrats with, so they settled on the most emotional issue they could find.
