I am curious of the amount of money that the City of Chicago spent on new meters and placing these new meters in areas that never had meters before in the year prior to this pathetic demoralizing parking mess that we have been put into? Now these meters are covered and no longer in use.

Not only have parking meter prices gone up, now parking lots & structures have taken advantage by raising prices.

How about $30 to park in Monroe Parking Garage for Venetian Night, is that nuts or what, especially when Firework events have been downsized. And shame on them for taking away Free meter parking on Sundays & Holiday.

There has been no consideration towards the many people and the small businesses of Chicago that are struggling and have been affected by these Economic times.

Maybe the nice people of Chicago will think twice about taking the Family to a City Park, Museum, an Event or shopping in the City of Chicago, ( I know I have). The money that could have been spent for these functions, would now have to pay for parking!
