Kinzinger calls Obama’s troop plan "a terrible mistake"
Congressman Adam Kinzinger told a district paper Friday that he was surprised by the President's announcement that all troops would be home from Iraq by the end of the year. As a U.S. Air Force pilot, Kinzinger has flown numerous Iraqi war missions.
"I think it's a terrible mistake," the congressman said. "Iraq is still in need of our stabilizing troops. Even if its just 5,000 or 10,000 troops."
He's fearful a complete withdrawal could lead to upheaval or influence from neighboring Iran.
