Kelly Files Assault Charges Against Reporter After Rahm Emanuel Incident

(CHICAGO) – A police report and request for arrest warrant is being filed this morning against CBS2 chief correspondent Jay Levine by broadcaster William J. Kelly. On Thursday evening, Chicago police reviewed a video tape submitted by Kelly of an incident that occurred on Monday at Columbus and Balboa, prior to the Columbus Day Parade, and agreed that Levine’s actions qualified as assault. During the incident, Levine erupted in an outburst and threatened “to deck” Kelly, who had been asking Emanuel tough questions about his Chicago residency and the failed White House stimulus plan. ABC7’s Charles Thomas was also on-tape interrupting Kelly’s questions and knocking his microphone away from Emanuel.

Here is the video of the incident: http://www.youtube.com/user/KellyTruthSquad

“This morning, I am filing a warrant for CBS reporter Jay Levine’s arrest,” says Kelly. “To date, I have not received any word of apology from Jay Levine or from CBS’ management. I know Jay Levine and CBS still believe that they had every right to threaten me and interfere with my questions to Rahm Emanuel and that is precisely the problem. That is why I think it is important to take a stand and counter media hypocrisy and arrogance in Chicago and everywhere else and that is what I am doing today.”

William J. Kelly pens Bill Kelly’s Truth Squad and the Tea Party Report for the Washington Times Communities and is a contributor to Breitbart.com. He is the host of the Kelly Truth Squad which airs locally on WIND-AM (560). For information, visit www.kellytruthsquad.com.

Gotta say, did not really seem like anything to press charges about. Pretty lame if you ask me. However, it was wonderful to watch the meltdown. Also interesting when the reporter asked Rahm if he would like to start over and try again with his answer. Is he a news reporter or is he Rahm’s PR flak? Hard to tell.

Well, Alex, gotta say that the Chicago Police Department DID see grounds for assault charges.

That is a clear case of assault under the law, but the real point is that if it was the other way around, the liberal gestapo would have come out in full force asking for Kelly’s resignation, WIND would have been dragged through the dirt and everyone would have been screaming about rightwing conspiracies.

Levine caters to the democRAT machine and his threat is blown off like it never happened. And we conservatives are quietly rumbling on the web.

I applaud Kelly for filing a charge against Levine. Too many times have we been quiet about the injustices against us. Liberals love peace and transparency, unless you disagree with them, then they turn violent and try to stop you from speaking. Freedom of speach only applies when you agree with a liberal. Violence always starts on the left.

I can’t find this incident, or the fallout from the incident, including the arrest warrant, anywhere on CBS-2′s website.

Isn’t CBS-2 supposed to be a news organization?

What we see in the video are reporters acting to defend their control of news production and to prevent ‘unauthorized’ perspectives and questions. They (professional ‘real’ reporters) consider the news to be their dominion and Kelly was threatening their control and the power that goes TO THEM from that control.
It is undeniable that the video shows at least one professional journalist threatening violence as a means to contain the range of questions and perspectives. Levine should be fired. He deserves to be prosecuted.

Imagine, Jay Levine acting just like Rahm Emmanuel — or almost. I suppose Emmanuel would have sent Kelly a dead fish as a warning first. I understand Al Franken has been doing a pretty good Emmanuel-Levine imitation in the Senate these days, too. Hell hath no fury like a liberal challenged.

Jay Levine is a typical brainwashed Lib who believes everything on the networks. In the US it is a fact the press and media are completely on the side of the Democrats and view Talk Radio or Conservatism as the enemy. “Mainstream America” are Republicans, Conservatives & Tea Party folks. The minority [Liberals] control the movie studios and News outlets and therefore the message. That is why for those who ignore Talk Radio never get it or get us. We hear the truth, not biased or slanted Right, just the plain truth! And this is why you can not argue with non Talk radio listener Lib’s. Because they have a one sided view at “News” They are not clued in to both sides, hence are only Parroting the propaganda and talking points of the Liberal directed press and “News”. If the press wants Bush to look dumb, well consider it done. It worked. But he is far as they get from dumb. He may be a poor speaker but dumb? The people who believe that are the dummies. How about Palin.? They wanted to attack her for no reason because she was a threat. Did it work? Not really. The Democrats wanted to elect Obama and have him defeat McCain in an election. So they covered McCain’s rallies only to insure his winning and did likewise for Obama our great leader. See the result ? This is a very simple thing here. The Democrats steer the media and create stories and outcomes to their benefit. Even if they are false and without just cause damage to Conservatives reputations. They are an evil group and use similar techniques as brutal regimes in third world countries to achieve their goals. The propagandists in the media have done nothing less than to weaken and help destroy our country since JFK and are all traitors in my view.
Jay Levine is due his day in court and was hostile on the video. Maybe this can serve to teach lessons to the blind masses on how angry, ugly and thuggish Democrats really are. I say William J Kelly asked the questions most educated Americans wanted to ask. The others were puppets attempting to please our leader with their show of fanatic like loyalty and ridiculous questions.

Is “Libstapo” a word yet? If it isn’t, it ought to be. Maybe we can vote these people out of Congress, if they don’t steal the elections. Too bad we can’t vote them out of the media.

Good for you Mr. Kelly, I heard you on Hannity today, but he said he would not have pressed charges because you showing the video of the incident was good enough to show how the main stream media reacts. I think he is wrong, the mass media is counting on people like you to just take the abuse. But now I hope you will be the first of many reporters of real news to stand their ground and use the law against the same people that try to use the law against anyone who dares to show they disagree with their agenda.

Kelly was verbally insistent bordering on rude–not that that’s bad. OK with me.

The most interesting thing was wuss Jay Levine getting all protective. He knows who will be buttering his bread for the next few years. He was going for brownie points. Earned ‘em.

Actually, Emmanuel was pretty cool throughout. Gotta give him that.

    So . . . Kelly vs. Levine . . . a draw.

    Emmanuel wins this match.

Finally, somebody willing to ask some tough questions and stand his ground. Gosh that’s so refreshing!

    - the Chicago media is hammering a Chicago conservative, William J. Kelly, who Kelly claims was assaulted on-camera by CBS anchor Jay Levine when he tried to question Rahm Emanuel with relevant questions. A November 19th court date has been set on the assault charges.

The Chicago Tribune attacked the reporter with personal attacks saying that Levine was justified because the conservative was an “imbecile who hijacked their press conference.” Rahm’s press conference was on the public sidewalk. Columnist Eric Zorn attacked Kelly in a featured Sunday Tribune editorial calling him rude, an obnoxious jerk, an imbecile, and other names, and said that he misrepresented that he was a reporter. Kelly never did. He said he had a radio show on Salem-owned WIND, which he does.

No one from the Tribune bothered to contact Kelly for his response or to ask him any questions. The Chicago Tribune has also declined to print Kelly’s reponse. This Media Bias has no end. Shame on you Media hacks!!!
