Lt. Gov. Pat Quinn is out drumming up support for a special election to fill President-elect Obama’s vacant Senate seat, stripping embattled Gov. Rod Blagojevich of the power to make the appointment.
Quinn told WLS-TV on Sunday morning that because of pending corruption charges, “there’s no way” Blagojevich can appoint someone to the seat.
