CNN’s Campbell Brown Jeopardizes Media Love Affair with President Elect

Matthew Balin 2 December 2008 3 Comments

On Monday’s “No Bias, No Bull” program, CNN’s Campbell Brown lashed out at President-Elect Barack Obama for his flippant response to a reporter’s question: “Mr. President-Elect, reporters, we hope, are going to ask you a lot of annoying questions over the next four years. Get used to it. That is the job of the media, to hold you accountable. But this isn’t just about the media. It’s about the American people, many of whom voted for you because of what you said during the campaign, and they have a right to know which of those things you meant and which you didn’t. Apparently, as you made clear today, you didn’t mean what you said about Hillary Clinton. So, what else didn’t you mean?”

Really? And what was the media doing for the past two years? Why didn’t they hold Obama’s feet to the fire about abortion for example? Per Pew Research:

“Together, social issues – including abortion, gay marriage and stem cell research – composed 9% of religion-focused campaign news but less than 1% of campaign news overall. Abortion was by far the biggest of these, again, largely focused on Palin.”

We’ll see more jilted lovers as time goes by… like most affairs, it will get ugly.

    There you go again Campbell.

    You are repeating yourself tonight

about Obama’s response to a reporter. If he has been told not to comment by the prosecutor he is duty bound to do as required.

You were the queen of sneer and smear when Hillary was running for

president, and now you are up to it again. You just sound like a tired, slow version of Lou Dobbs.

One trick ponies don’t last forever

on TV. Maybe you need to be on radio like Rush.
