Much to the dismay of the University of Illinois, a researcher used a research library at the U of I Chicago Campus to do research. Steve Diamond, a University of Santa Clara Law Professor accessed the Annenberg Challenge archives several months ago, and makes some (not all that surprising to CDOBs readers) discoveries about the close relationship between Bill Ayers and Sen. Barack Obama. Diamond notes:
After reading the summary (and there is much more available than Diamond was able to obtain), the Annenberg challenge seems wasteful and mismanaged, but not unexpected from the joint work of an incompetent terrorist (Ayers) and a bungling politician (Obama). After Ayers and Obama disbursed around $100 Million to political allies of the Annenberg Challenge, nothing much was accomplished according to Diamond.

Under the circumstances, it seems more than a bit disingenuous of Senator Obama to dismiss Bill Ayers as “some guy who lives in my neighborhood.”How about it U of I? Why not let researchers do more complete research to see just how effective a Presidential candidate and a terrorist are at managing a $100 million project failing one of the worst school systems in the United States?

Either you're not from Chicago (contrary to this newspaper's title), or you've been stuck in a cave for the last 25 years. Since the 1980s, the initials for this university are UIC. "U of I" is the campus in downstate Urbana-Champaign...

Since about 5 years ago, it has been U of I Chicago, and Springfield (Sangamon State) has been U of I Springfield.
It is all the University of Illinois system, despite our being stuck in a cave, we are sort of up to date.

Dr. Milt Rosenberg had a great show last night (Wed) with a person doing research on these documents, Dr. Milt invited someone from the Obama campaign on the program but they declined, than they put the Obama/Axelrod machine into full gear with people calling in saying WGN,Milt etc should not have this person on, the callers are part of the new political machine....to me the Obama campaign is organized like the Church of Scientology. I hope that show will go on the WGN archives so other people can hear it.
