Pat Brady set to be Republican National Committeeman

Illinois Republican Party leaders recommended Friday that consultant and former state’s attorney Pat Brady of St. Charles be named the new national committeeman at the Republican National Convention.

Brady, cousin to state Rep. Dan Brady, R-Bloomington, still must be elected by the Illinois Republican Convention in Decatur today to officially take the spot.

The national committeeman represents the Illinois Republican Party to the national party. If elected, Brady would succeed committeeman Bob Kjellander, who has announced he will step down at the end of his term, following the 2008 elections.

Meet the new boss, same as the old boss says:

This Pat Brady is really a lightweight. Absent the shameful rigging by an unelected state central committee, Rauschenberger would have won. Brady's clearly not ready for prime time. He's just the stooge de jour of the Kjellander wing of an embarrassingly dysfunctional State GOP.

If I was McCain, I would be very, very worried about the way my campaign was being hurt by a few clueless, selfish few from the Land of Stinkin'.
