Bill Ayers: “I wrote Dreams From My Father”
There I was, sitting in Reagan National Monday morning, sipping a Starbucks by the United counter before going through security. I had a little time, so I was browsing through the news. Some military guys had borrowed a chair from my table. I looked up from time to time to enjoy the sun streaming through. That’s when I saw Bill Ayers, an instant blight. Scruffy, thinning beard, dippy earring, and the wirerims, heading to order. I gathered my things, got my camera ready, and snapped a shot right when he got his coffee.
I asked–what are you doing in D.C. Mr. Ayers?
For a moment I thought he might be on my flight back to Chicago. Charming. Initially I guess he thought I was laying claim to his coffee or something. He gave me an uneasy cheesy smile when he realized I was taking his picture. I asked him if he was speaking at GW? (Only I said GFW, guess I had the VFW on my mind) He said oh you mean GW, he said no…was trying to decide if I was a fan, then said he was giving a lecture in Arlington to a Renaissance group on education–that’s what I do, education–you shouldn’t believe everything you hear about me, you know nothing about me. I said, I know plenty–I’m from Chicago, a conservative blogger, and I’ll post this. (Oh, yeah, Bill Ayers, quite the Renaissance man, nail-bomber extraordinaire. Gee, I see another friend of Barack, U.S. Sec. of Education Arne Duncan was there too. “The conference theme is “A Time for Reflection, Celebration and Rebirth.” How touching. At best, useless, at worst, so wrong.)
Then, unprompted he said–I wrote Dreams From My Father. I said, oh, so you admit it. He said–Michelle asked me to. I looked at him. He seemed eager. He’s about my height, short. He went on to say–and if you can prove it, we can split the royalties. So I said, stop pulling my leg. Horrible thought. But he came again–I really wrote it, the wording was similar. I said I believe you probably heavily edited it. He said–I wrote it. I said–why would I believe you, you’re a liar.
He had no answer to that. Just looked at me. Then he turned and walked off, and said again his bit about my proving it and splitting the proceeds.
But the question remains–is Barack Obama a fraud? Is his myth-making creation and only major accomplishment a product of Bill Ayers’ imagination? (or his own) Is our President Barack Obama’s biography written by an unrepentant domestic terrorist?
Perhaps I’ll become Bill Ayers’ favorite conservative blogger and he can prove his authorship himself–turn over your notes Bill. And how about turning yourself in for your crimes.
I remember that era, Mr. Ayers. People died because of your actions, including your girlfriend. More would have if you had been more successful. And yet you have the gall to teach the teachers of our young. I won’t forget your murderous intent, your shameful acts, your contemptible lies and evasions. And when history is written, I hope you’ll be reviled–or forgotten.
As for our President, the verdict is still out. But Barack Obama called Bill Ayers friend and colleague for years. That in itself makes a damning statement.

The fact that Bill Ayers admits he wrote the book actually makes me less likely to believe he wrote the book.
If McVeigh hadn’t been an incompetent moron he wouldn’t have been blamed, tried, convicted and executed for Ramsi Yusef’s plan to blow up the OK City fed bldg. that was carried out by Yusef’s buddy, Terry Nichols, and about 20 Arabs who had been living in OK City the past year or more.

There is no doubt that Ayers was in suburban Washington, D.C. (Arlington, Virginia), over the weekend for a conference:
The Renaissance Group (TRG), a consortium of 26 universities and an affiliated agency committed to quality programs for the preparation of teachers and administrative leaders for America’s schools, will be celebrating its 20th anniversary at its Fall Conference to be held at the Key Bridge Marriott Hotel in Arlington, VA, Oct. 4-6.
The conference theme is “A Time for Reflection, Celebration and Rebirth.” Speakers will include U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan, Under Secretary of Education Dr. Martha Kanter and Dr. William Ayers, distinguished professor and scholar from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
The Renaissance Group has been headquartered at California State University, Fresno since 2005.

Was Ayers trying to send the blogger on a wild goose chase in order to have her end up looking like a conspiracy nut, or was he telling the truth? There’s no way to know with anybody favorably connected to this administration. They all are corrupt, lying slimeballs, so there’s no way to know. Is Ayers’ claim plausible? Sure, very plausible. Did he offer one piece of evidence to prove it? According to the blogger’s story, no, he didn’t. If he did write the book, does he have a gripe with Obama for taking all claim? Yep. Does he have the balls to do anything about it himself? Apparently not. Why should anybody else stick their neck out? What’s the reward? Nobody (except Ayers, apparently) gives a rat’s patoot who wrote it. Obama used it to help get elected by padding his reumé with it. Since claiming you wrote something you didn’t is not an impeachable offense, it’s of no actionable value to conservatives and the rest of sane America. He will not lose one vote or iota of support from his faithful morons and useful idiots. The rest of us know what he is and would not be surprised that he didn’t write it, but who cares? If we can’t use it to get him out of office, it’s a minor transgression in the big picture scheme of things. And since Ayers is an equally despicable person, he can seek his own justice if he has the guts. He may have left them splattered on a wall somewhere along the line and is scared of Obama. Perhaps the malevolent bravado of his youth has abandoned him to survival instinct.
Actually, the notion of an aggrieved Ayers is quite amusing and does my heart good.

At this point the evidence is mounting against Obama and Ayers. I think that going forward we will see more of the same.
Not an Obama Fan, but Ayers was lying. I like conspiracy theories, but Obama himself wrote the ironically titled “Dreams of My Father.” Ayers possibly proofed and edited it. I’m more inclined to believe that Obama was fathered by the author and poet, Frank Marshall Davis than Barak Obama, Sr. He writes, looks and even sounds like the man, eerily so, even to the point of speech patterns and voice timbre.
Ayers may be throwing a conservative journalist a red herring to make the right wing look even more hysterical and foolish over having a black president (big hairy deal) or trying to distract national attention from other Obama Antics, but I don’t think so.
More likely, Obama promised to pay Ayers for his work on the book once BHO won the presidency, but reneged and this is his subtle way of doing “collections.” Or Ayers is not seeing any payoff from using his connections to help Obama and wants to cash in. Either way, it’s a delicious irony that our own homegrown Marxist terrorist is so willing to scuttle his Marxist comrade and his own Marxist principles for dirty capitalist money that isn’t even worth toilet paper thanks to Marxist policies he helped to put in place.
Most likely, Ayers is bitter that Obama found him too big a political liability to be given much influence in his administration and threw him under the bus with Grandma, Reverend Wright, Bill Richardson and a couple of other loud-mouthed lefties. Ayers shot down his own chance at the presidency with his antics during the sixties. He is as power-hungry as any other lefty and probably thought he could rule America through Obama. It must gall him beyond belief that he ends up in obscurity after all he did to launch Obama into the White House.
You sir, are a gullible sap. You’ve been had by this Renaissance man, nail-bomber extraordinaire. Can’t you tell when you’re leg is being pulled? This guy undoubtedly runs into losers like you every day of his life, and is having a little fun at your expense.

This is not new….just not well known. Writing analysts have long suspected that this was written by Ayers becuase of the writing style. It matched other works by Ayers, and was nothing like the pathetic crap Obama really writes. Why do you think Obama never released any of his grades or college works.

As much as I would love to believe this, I’m afraid it is more than a little ridiculous to take a claim like this at face value with no evidence other than a photo of the man. Without knowing this author, I can certainly entertain the notion that this story may have been fabricated in order to generate traffic and sensationalism. The fact is we know Ayers had an open house type deal where he would help any writer who came to him. He probably helped Obama quite a bit because Obama is not a real person and couldn’t write an honest life story without blowing his cover. He was raised in a very mysterious family, his mother’s life choices make little sense unless she was a CIA agent or something even more sinister. She may very well have been a hardcore Marxist along with her parents, after all Obama was mentored by Frank Marshall Davis, a leading member of CPUSA who may actually be Obama’s real biological father.
The fact is that Obama is most likely part of a long standing Marxist conspiracy, after all Marx had intended his theories to be applied to an advanced Capitalist society, it was Lenin who adapted Marxism to then backward Russia. It didn’t work. The Soviet system and the allies it cultivated all ultimately ‘reverted’ (in the eyes of orthodox Marxists) to nationalist tendencies. I would argue they redeemed themselves. The true Marxism of Obama is all about world government and a global central banking establishment through what we have been made to understand to be Capitalist institutions like the World Bank and G20, etc. – they are in reality totalitarian fronts led by hardcore Marxists connected behind the scenes through an interlocking network of fraternities and secret societies. The conspiracy may run much deeper, Marxism might only be an outward justification for a much darker agenda.
But I’m not going to go there – back to Ayers… this is a very serious issue and I don’t think a serious journalist would have bothered publishing allegations like this if they could not substantiate them in some way. Why would he say something like this to you? With all due respect lady, nobody is ever going to take your word for it in this day and age. Ayers has a vested interest in staying out of the limelight and I don’t believe you have met him and had this conversation that you claim. If somehow what you say is true then he must be quite disenchanted with the Obama’s or he has a very good sense of humor.

I had no doubt Ayres had mostly written BO’s memoires. In any case, what people seem to miss is that a friend of the Obamas said the same thing in a book about them that has just come out. He talks quite freely about it, though I think the “first couple” did not realize exactly what he was going to reveal. Why such a basicaly boring person as BO would have been writing memoires in his 30s is weird enough, so we know that it was a preparation by his handlers to promote him as a writer. Liberals fancy themselves intellectuals (I know, I was one) and have a soft spot for writers. So keeping up the lie of BO the great writer is important to them.
There are certainly no other writings to his credit that we know of–all those sealed records and all. So actually the book is important. It is one of the major reasons his supporters were so fervently convinced of his “intelligence” which has remained totally unmanifested. No clever witticisms, only awkward, sour “jokes” usually about vulnerable or disabled people. Nothing to say except cliches and self-congratulatory trip; no words of compassion–even his speechwriters appear unable to come up with anything that rings true.

If Alexander the Great lived today he would wear a suit and tie and work for the Federal Reserve. Those bankers who will cause more suffering, pain and death than Ayers could ever imagine. With all due respect, Clint, conservatives are not a monolithic group. Many are against AIPAC and the Israel lobby, too. Many “liberals” support them. Many are suspicious of the neocons and their totalitarian agenda and the convenient terrorism that they hype.
We also do not like the Obama administration’s totalitarianism. In fact, we do not like any form of collectivism and in fact fascism, socialism, communism, divine right of kings, and every other form of collectivism with totalitarianism all belong together at one side of the diagram. It could be the right side, it could be the left side. Constitutionally restrained government belongs at the other, with libertarianism.
You and others are being played and it all goes back to your acceptance of the false left-right paradigm. All collectivism is virtually the same. Communism and fascism and quite similar. Liberals and conservatives as you seem to define them are two forms of collectivists who are at each others throats over a few of the less important issues, all the while espousing collectivism and statism. You mostly just disagree about who should be in control.
That is a very flawed outlook. You will never maintain control indefinitely and when you are not in control, you will have to deal with an unrestrained, all-powerful coercive and violent state.
Aeon agree entirely with you. I supported Ron Paul. The guy “the party” sidelined so well during the election. I have always considered myself Republican until this year. No longer. I suppose I consider all conflict to be economic in origin. In todays world that war is easy to wage hidden and unseen only bring out the guns if you need to. My whole point I suppose is that My former party is so focused on “the war on terror” that they are being deceived. 13% inflation will be terror. “the war on terror” has been a great rallying platform. Strong defence now means wearing down your troops physically, mentally, emotionally and finacially. wearing down your equipment in a sand bath all while bankrupting the country. With regard to wearing down our troops and equipment, perhaps that is the goal. Some of the so-called leaders seem hell-bent on dismantling our country. I would feel better if our troops were at home ready to defend the constitution from all enemies, foreign and domestic. You are right, we are in a weak position vis a vis any threats from China or Russia. But during WWII, the Japanese knew that invading the U.S. would mean facing a rifle behind every blade of grass. I don’t remember who said that, perhaps Admiral Yamamoto. Yours is a point well taken. I agree with you on towing the party line, too. Please don’t feel any compulsion to reply. Most people just look glassy eyed them move on to the next subject. It is just a way of looking at things. I’m not always the most practical. Here is how I see it though. People are controlled by perceptions. People control other people through perceptions, it’s how the game is played. That’s the problem though it’s mostly a game. What if were more like work or a project were the object was not to persuade or alter perception but to define to progress. You are right Ron Paul’s campaign brought in everyong Rep. Dem. ind. black whith rich poor. I believe people do have an honest heart there somewhere. It was a great show for humanity. What if you had an advantage over the common man of 1800. He didn’t have electronic devices, computers you do. say you take a device like a Kindle and convert it into a dialog of logic and reason where, the imput is supplied by the users, where science and method replace rhetoric and posture. Take an issue remove all the name calling, the disinformation, bad information, irrational thought, prejudice and focused on events and facts and rational, ordered these in priority and relevance and tried to come to a consensus. A place where there were no parties, no races no experts no propaganda, just a common objective – the best understanding possible. Not the truth just the best understanding possible. What a resource this would be, an equalizer. No more could a politician put on an expensive suit and proclaim boldly and sway public opinion if id didn’t make sense no more slanted journalism. You would know what they had to say before they said it, no war to work things out. just rational and facts as best understood or supported. Our understanding would not have to be concrete. Our understanding would be a base to build upon. Better than in the netherworld of perception.
I hate to say this, but I don’t believe anything anyone who identifies himself as a conservative has to say, though there was a time when I considered myself a conservative. Though the powers that be don’t want the people to know it, Obama himself is a neocon. His administration is the third term for GWB.
Suppose Ben Bernanke showed up at a congressional hearing wearing a t shirt and flip flops, it wouldn’t go very well. He wears a very nice suit and trims his beard expertly so we will trust him, we will perceive his as proficient. what though if we could verify everything he said we wouldn’t really care what he wore. We want him to dress nicely though so we feel we can trust him. We want to trust him we just don’t know for certain so we want him to reassure us. The internet is a dialog, It has no structure though. Some may read this blog some may read that, then the blog disappears. People inflame one another nothing is accomplished, antagonism is the goal. facts are left to fight for themselves. Think of the internet as your automobile the kid took apart to see how it worked, it’s all in pieces.

Better take me for example, I think larry and robert worked for Goldman but I’m not sure. I might imply they did not knowing 100 %. It is hard to imagine something that doesn’t exist. I’m also to fatallistic to think that we will ever achieve some direction for progress until we have had a world wide near death experience. I guess it’s just my little hope that one day we could all work together in peace.
