Nuns stunned by Vatican’s scolding
Once upon a time, nuns who yearned to be out working among the poor were ordered to stay in the cloister. Eventually, the sisters moved into the world, into schools, churches, homeless shelters and community centers, only to encounter — as some see it — a new kind of cloister, an ideological one.In the ideological cloister, nuns aren’t allowed to challenge church teaching on homosexuality. Or suggest that women become priests. Or put more emphasis on social justice than on the evils of contraception and abortion.
Pat Hickey explains that many Catholics, including some hierachy members, are in favor of Catholicism.
It seems nuns got stunned when Pope Benedict XVI and the lads in Pope City told Catholic Nuns here in the States that they are on the wrong side of issues, as far as the Church teachings are concerned. Some nuns prefer the Progressive, NPR, DNC, and Secular doctrines which demand abortion, that women be ordained priests and the call for a general absolution of all same-gender sexual dalliances. Not a huge head-scratcher that, let alone a stunner.
And for this type of nonsense Mary Schmich gets a Pulitzer Prize and Pat Hickey gets a Hat Tip

I would say that his column deserves a Pulitzer, exept it doesn’t fit the progressive criteria of a Pulitzer any more than it fits the criteria of a Nobel that sees fit to honor Obama, Al Gore, Jimmy Carter and Yassir Arafat. How’s that for a rant?

Both the Tribune and the Sun Times have been spoon fed by this political machine from the Obama conception. I am very greatful for outlets like this and others, hopefully they will both go out of business.

No surprises here! The Chicago press rooms have never forgotten that David Axelrod is one of their alumni members. They have accepted and placed so much of his propaganda into their news reporting that none of their columns could be considered objective.
