Rule #3 for a Radical: You Want to Cause Confusion

Here’s what Obama told the Tribune in November 2006:
—He wasn’t sure if he called Rezko to tell him about his interest in the house.
—Said Rezko had raised about $20,000 for him over the years.
—Said Rezko hadn’t been “involved with him in any legislative work whatsoever or any governmental activities of any sort.”
—Said he and Rezko shared lunch “once or twice a year” and as couples the Rezkos and Obamas dined “two to four times.”
By the time Obama finally was forced to answer questions to the Tribune and Sun-Times editorial board in early 2008, it was known or Obama conceded that:
—He called Rezko to tell him of his interest in the house.
—He and Rezko conducted a walk-through of the house.
—The true figure of what Rezko raised for his political campaigns was $250,000 or more.
—That in addition to meals together, he talked to Rezko nearly ever day during his political campaigns.
—That he wrote multiple letters to help Rezko get government funding for housing developments, and was oblivious to or purposely ignored when Rezko’s housing in his district was found to be substandard and slum-ridden.
And one added note: Rezko got Illinois funding for 27 public housing developments. All of them failed. But he kept getting funding through Obama. Guess who his partner was on some of the developments? None other than Valerie Jarrett.
Valerie Jarrett was also Obama’s conduit to City Hall.
I was always astonished when the “true believers” insisted that Obama was not part of the Chicago machine and the political culture that ran City Hall despite the fact that Jarrett had Michelle Obama placed in several high paying positions in the Daley administration and for many years was the principal breadwinner for the Obama family. Her income greatly exceeded that of her husband for many years even after he was elected state senator.
Simply stating “This is not the Tony Rezko that I knew” does not adequately answer the questions about the ties between Jarrett, Rezko and the Obamas.
Had Chicago been selected to host the Olympic Games, Jarrett would have made another killing in real estate.
If you pay close attention, you’ll still see the occasional “Bush Lied” bumpersticker.
How many documented Obama lies can we come up with? I’ll start printing enough stickers.
It’s amazing the number of people who are in denial about his connection with Tony Rezko…
