[...] John Powers, Chicago Daily Observer, takes the sniping Chicago media to task, "Our Media Plays “Gotcha” Games while Our State Melts Down": If Bill Brady was simply campaigning on popular issues, he would stick to opposing abortion and promoting Second Amendment Rights, both issues which have broad appeal and the backing a majority of Illinois voters. However, as Brady has said, the focus on this years campaign will be on improving the economy, Jobs and Reform, as he has repeated to the media. Brady has offered a general 10% cut across the board, which is better than anything his competitor has delivered in the last year. There is plenty of time in this election cycle to get more detailed on economic plans (and education reform, and pension reform). There has to be a better economic development method than shipping terrorists to Thomson for military tribunals. There has to be someone more qualified to lead economic development in Illinois than Tony Rezko’s CFO.
