The son of Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle is facing a misdemeanor battery charge for allegedly kicking a man and “punching him in the face several times,” court records show.

The board president was in a South Side courtroom Monday morning when her son Kyle Preckwinkle, in his early 30s, appeared before Judge Tommy Brewer in the municipal court’s Branch 34 at 51st and Wentworth, sources said.
Hat Tip Mike Houlihan for keeping this story alive

Her son is in his “30′s”, beats up on a homeless man and then goes to court with mommy??? His lawyer said it has nothing to do with Toni, so why then does she escort him to court? Time for her 30 something grown man/child to grow up.
More frightening to see that perennial candidate Tommy Brewer finally has obtained a public office in Cook County.
Hey Rip Van Winkle, this story is from before Thanksgiving 2012. Where have you been, sleeping under a rock ?
KC,
Just keeping the story alive. It had been buried with the holidays, and has been updated a few times on the Sun Times site.

It makes sense that Toni would be there. It’s sends a message to the judge. The judge wouldn’t want to get a call from Ed Burke about judicial slating.
