Golden: Tribune Reporters Imagine a Clean Break from Illinois Politics

Chicago Daily Observer 21 November 2012 2 Comments

From “Golden” the half-baked (half-job?) account of Rod Blagojevich’s rise and fall.

The president-elect (Obama) wanted to be done with Illinois politics. Bringing Blagojevich to be in the cabinet was definitely contrary to that desire. Health and Human Services was a very big ask.

Some of the evidence of being “done” with Illinois Politics?

Chief of Staff (I) Rahm Emanuel, Political Advisor David Axelrod, Secretary of Education Arne Duncan, Senior Advisor Valerie Jarrett, Attorney General (and Blagojevich lawyer) Eric Holder, Chief of Staff (II) William Daley among many others, all Chicago Politicians and political advisors, joined the Obama Administration in key roles.
