Cow (or the Bus if you will) is Already Out of Barn for Mark Kirk

Pat Hickey 2 October 2009 2 Comments

Mark Kirk’s Cap and Trade vote sang the whole opera for this Illinois voter.  I vote largely Democratic but draw the line at the ‘boiled beets Progressives’  the real ACLU/Planned Parenthood variety of doctrinaire goldfish – like Jan Schakowsky, Toni Preckwinkle and etc.  Likewise, I will not cast a cross-over vote for a bum steer like Mark Kirk – GOP Steer.

A Steer is a bos primogentitur that has been deprived of his gents, in order to make the bovine quadruped more moveable, docile and willing to follow the herd.  In politics, the gelding is generally self-inflicted via ego and the need to jettison principles.

Taking buckos from PACs like SEIU does not necessarily turn a lusty young He –bull like Alexi Giannoulias into a steer – far from it.  At least to this ‘Old Timey’ political spectator it is indicative of the will to win. I could care less how many millions of dollars a candidate might collect.  I am more concerned about the moral and ethical geldings who lope along with a bad herd.

I read this in Kevin Robinson’s fine report in today’s Chicagoist:

“Originally I saw it as a Chicago union and if they wanted to help out candidates, that’s fine,” said Kirk  “The information that we now see is, though, that it appears highly inappropriate this organization is involved with the U.S. government.” The “highly inappropriate” involvement with the U. S. government Kirk is referring to? That includes a $140,000 earmark in 2005, for teen delinquency work ACORN was doing in New York. . . . whcik Kirk voted for in 2005.

Kirk has said that he’ll give $2,500 to charity to offset the fund’s he accepted from SEIU’s political action organization in 2003, and would also “donate” a “proportional share” of $19,000 he’s taken since 2000 from the Republican Main Street Partnership PAC. That group backs moderate GOP candidates (Kirk’s status therein has been a bit of a problem for him as he tries to energize a less moderate Republican base statewide), and has accepted some $90,000 in contributions from SEIU’s PAC since 2001.

I can fully understand why a Democrat or Republican would accept a donation from a PAC like SEIU.  Hell, I’d take their dough too, but I have yet to get an offering.  SEIU buys politicians who craft legislation to help Andy Stern destroy the American Labor movement and the American Middle Class.  Emil Jones was a huge help to Andy Stern as he was to ComEd – Lefty or Capitalist the Green spends the same way to Emil Jones.  Emil tried to geld the skilled trades with a racist thought piece that tried to force unions to dumb-down apprenticeship exams, do away with proof of residency and eliminate drug testing.  SEIU wants that done and will try to force all states to become State Apprenticeship Council controlling the apprenticeships now directed as Bureau of Apprenticeship Councils directing their own programs, requirements of acceptance and schools.  Emil Jones and his SEIU cadre would turn Skilled Trades into Chicago State University – and well job the gent did of that school.

There.  Now that the SEIU agenda is paragraphed let’s return to Mark Kirk the SEIU Steer. Mark Kirk accepted SEIU dough in 2003, not a hell of a lot, but some.  Now he wants Alexi Giannoulias to give back the SEIU pile he received with the SEIU endorsement.  As if!

Alexi, the dough is yours to use against Mark Kirk and use it freely!  Mark Kirk only went all ‘ACORN on SEIU’ after – well after those two kids filmed the goofs of ACORN across the country. All of a sudden, a hot Navy fighter pilot and Intelligence officer, like Mark Kirk understands that SEIU – might just might mind you – have far less than the best interests on the American middle class at heart?  Glorioskies Sandy!  Alexi, take the dough and God Bless!

Mark Kirk was cute enough to vote for Cap and Trade* in one of the closest votes in the House of Representative.  He voted to move forward one of the most dangerous and foot-stompingly idiotic pieces of General Electric legislation to come down the pike in decades. Now, Kirk is trying to parse and weasel his way out of the vote that he expected to be rewarded with kind words on MSNBC and in Huffington Post.  Mark Kirk and the Illinois GOP want to make an issue of the ACORN and SEIU synergy – that is all to the good – but having  a steer like Mark Kirk try to mooooo- hooo  from his self made dung pile is really too laughable.

Give the SEIU money back, Alexi!

Sure, Mark, the minute you show Illinois voters that your moral goodies are tucked up nicely like they are supposed to be.

As far as I can tell, Mark Kirk is a steer and Alexi Giannoulias is a sho’nuff He-Bull!

*These two elected goofs need to go. Mark Kirk is a Republican and thinks that he” make a swell Senator – Mark, we already have two lightweights in the U.S. Senate -Durbin and Burris – all filled up here! Kirk’s MSNBC-friendly nose nuzzle showed Illinois what his presence in Washington is worth. Dan Lipinski decided that playing ball against his constituents is Okay – it ain’t Congressman.

You ‘killed the job’ as they say in the Trades.

Dan Lipinski represents a very traditional Democratic base – people described as blue-collar, Catholic, anti-Abortion, anti-tax Democrats.

Dan Lipinski took the path of least resistance. Dan Lipinski voted for the most dangerous piece of legislation to the American Way of Life ever crafted – The Cap and Trade Bill. Dan Lipinski allowed his rump to be padded against the Progressive Loudmouths and Purple T-shirt howlers. This was a close vote in a very sheepish U.S. House of Representatives that is driven by the Media and the special interests Planned Parenthood, ACLU, SEIU, ACORN and the balance of the Acronym pantheon of activists.

Mark Kirk isn’t a fighter pilot, hot or otherwise. He rides in the backseat of an airplane and does the electronic stuff.

But he does get the cool flight suit for photo ops. That’s what’s important.
