The Latin soccer field isn't the only one

The ruling halting construction of the soccer field the Latin School is underwriting at the south end of Lincoln Park might keep a similar project at the north end of the park from getting under way. Soccer fields #1 and #2, two sloped dirt fields laid out side by side just east of Lake Shore Drive and south of Foster Avenue, have been used for about a quarter century by Region 418 of the American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO). Bill Moyers: The Leading Journalist of the Wrong

Bill Moyers lead off his self titled Journal last night on PBS with a lecture on his conversation with Rev. Wright last week. Moyers, ever the partisan scold, failed to see how anyone could question his judgment in giving a platform to Rev. Wright to do some damage control to his (and by proxy Sen. Obama’s) image. This week, Vanity Fair featured very sexually suggestive photos of Miley Cyrus, the 15-year-old Disney sensation, apparently wrapped in nothing but a silk sheet, complete with naked back, rumpled hair, and slightly pouty look.

The photos of G-rated star, who earned Disney one billion dollars last year, give new meaning to the expression, “what were these people thinking?”

Disney executives, who are waking up with heart burn and will be for several days come, are ... Read More...
