Pope's Visit Taking Shape
Two possible dates have been suggested for Pope Benedict XVI visit to Chicago, according to sources at the Archdiocese of Chicago.
Pope Benedict will be addressing the UN in April 2008, at which time he is contemplating side trips to Boston, Philadelphia, Baltimore and Chicago.
As part of another planned trip to the International Eucharistic Conference in Quebec City, Quebec, scheduled for June 11, 2008, Pope Benedict may also make a visit to the United States, including a possible trip to Chicago and Bardstown or Louisville Kentucky.
Specific plans for the visits are not yet fixed, our sources say.
