Mayor Larson was completely negligent on red light cameras. He was informed 9 months ago, before the cameras were installed, that they did not provide a safety benefit. His turning off was entirely politically motivated.

I thought you might be interested to get the full back story on the .

Mayor Larson was repeatedly warned about the lack of safety benefits from red light cameras prior to installing by the Schaumburg Freedom Coalition and others. He only changed his stance once political pressure became too harsh.

Yes, it seems that there is quite a bit of negligence going around in that town.

I certainly do appreciate all who participate in the perpetuation of the democratic process. I would hope however, individuals who would rather see Schaumburg reduced to nothing more than a deadly dodgeball game please try and see the argument from all sides.

I don’t care if this generates revenue. What I don’t want is this fine city to say it’s ok to drive like maniacs. Thank you, Mr. Costin, and all of the ignorant individuals like him…like this very inept third choice Howerton that are only interested in catering to scofflaws and ignorant self absorbed fools.

Maybe we should encourage people to use cell phones, and pay not one cent of courtesy to each other on the roadways. Maybe Schaumburg is the real world representation of the island of Lost Boys. It’s comforting to know, if I ever have a full frontal lobotomy performed, I can find comfort and acceptance in a truly spineless windsock community that welcomes the likes of Costin, Lawson, and Howerton that simply has it’s financial gain or savings in mind versus actual safety.

Everytime I go to Woodfield, I come within a hair of an accident because somebody is looking for a quick way into the mall, and not realizing the hazard they are creating on the road for the rest of us. Not being somebody is who so self absorbed I don’t pay attention to others on the roadways, I will be taking my business to Gurnee.

You see, I know the rules of the road, and how to stop at the white line. I also know, they have red light cameras out there around Gurnee Mills. So not only will Gurnee get my dollars, I will get piece of mind knowing that at least a couple of people will be a bit more aware and mindful of what they are doing out on the roadways.
