Obama is rooted to William Ayers and his political ascendancy owes more to Ayers than it does to the urban myth – Obama as Chicago Machine Politician. Obama is no more a Democratic Machine Politician than Tony Rezko is a philanthropist, or the Chicago Sun Times is a newspaper.
For all the protestations from Obama’s journalists – worldwide – there has never been a serious inquiry, much less valuable study of William Ayers and his dangerous influence upon Obama by any Mainstream Media -including the cut-and-paste work of Sean Hannity.
Read More of Does Bill Ayers Make the Mainstream Media Uncomfortable with Barack Obama? off-site...Winston Smith says:
It amazes me to see the mainstream media and Obama apologists soft peddle the association between Ayers and Obama. There was a report yesterday that totally minimized the scope of the crimes committed by the Weathermen. It made it sound as if they simply vandalized buildings with spray painted graffiti.
Bernadine Dohrn and Bill Ayers are totally narcissitic hypocrites. They both railed about the evils of capitalism and then ran to their wealthy parents to bail them out and to secure them privileged positions using the dirty money that they previously decried.
It is instructive to see how comfortable Obama is with radicals and Marxists.
Howard says:
TALK IS CHEAP ... CHECK OBAMA'S RECORD !!!
A candidate's track record, and associations are always a legitimate issue when running for President. Let's take a look at the qualifications, judgement, and experience of Obama, who is running for President. Obama had 25 years to fulfill the potential he displayed as a rising start at Harvard Law School ... and, how did he live up to that potential? ... He chose to align himself with anti-American racist, Jeremiah Wright for TWENTY YEARS ... along with Ferrahkan, Rezko, Ayers, and others. As a community organizer, he registered thousands of voters in Chicago ... then, when he ran for the state legislature, he took away their votes, by disqualifying his opponent (a black woman) on a technicality. As a U.S. Senator, he voted present 160 times ... he never called a meeting on the Afghanistan committee he chaired (although he NOW says we must shift all our military from Iraq to Afghanistan). He claimed Foreign Policy experience from a 9 day whirlwind photo op to 6 countries. And, he spent almost half of his tenure neglecting his responsibilities as a U.S. Senator, so he could run for President. Senator McCain served America honorably for 22 years in the military. He proved his love for America, as well as his honor, integrity and character, by refusing early release as a P.O.W., even while being tortured. He served America as a 'contributing' U.S. Senator, working across the aisle, for 20 years. If Obama's Twentyfive year track record shows he lacks judgement, and can't be trusted, who cares what he says about Health Care and the Economy! What Obama never learned is Character. He simply can't be trusted ... ask Jeremiah Wright, a friend of 20 years, who Obama betrayed for personal ambition ... and, you Obama supporters really think he won't betray you If he gets elected??? If he gets elected, you Obama supporters will be facing a HUGE disillusionment !!!
Jim says:
G.Gordon Liddy: Liddy has acknowledged preparing to kill someone during the Ellsberg break-in "if necessary"; plotting to murder journalist Jack Anderson; plotting with a "gangland figure" to murder Howard Hunt to stop him from cooperating with investigators; plotting to firebomb the Brookings Institution; and plotting to kidnap "leftist guerillas" at the 1972 Republican National Convention
During the 1990s, Liddy reportedly instructed his radio audience on multiple occasions on how to shoot Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms agents and also reportedly said he had named his shooting targets after Bill and Hillary Clinton.
Then there was the U.S. Council for World Freedom, chaired by a guy named John Singlaub, who wound up involved in the Iran contra scandal. It was an ultra conservative, right-wing group. The Anti-Defamation League, in 1981 when McCain was on the board, said this about this organization. It was affiliated with the World Anti-Communist League – the parent organization – which ADL said "has increasingly become a gathering place, a forum, a point of contact for extremists, racists and anti-Semites."
Oh, and Sarah Palin and the Alaskan Independence Party, who recorded a speech for its convention last March, and why her husband remained a registered member of it until 2002, even though it was founded by
wanted to rip a star off of the American flag.
Should we also mention how Sarah Palin attended and applauded a meeting in her own church for “Jews for Jesus?” or the very strange Pastor Murthee who placed his hands on her to expel and protect her from withces?
And then there is the Keating 5, which McCain himself apologized for his behavior, and admitted his guilt, while costing the American taxpayer billions.
Do we even need to discuss how he picked up $2 million in donations from the CEO of Chiquita Brands who’s company was fined millions for funding terrorists?
Talk maybe cheap, but apparently good judgment is even less.
Wrong again says:
Nice try, McCain was exonerated in the Keating Five investigation. He was found not to have violated any laws or ethical rules. According to attorney Robert Bennett, McCain was made a target at the behest of Senate Democrats who were worried that all of the investigated figures were Democratic lawmakers.
Bennett described the inclusion of McCain in the probe as contrary to his recommendations to the Senate investigatory panel that held hearings and a clear case of prosecutorial abuse.
Jim says:
Ain't nothing like the truth to knock you down.
That's not what McCain said in his book, Worth Fighting For:
I made the worst mistake of my life by attending two meetings, the first with the chairman of the Federal Home Loan Bank Board, the government agency charged with regulating the practices of the nation's savings and loans, and a week later with four bank examiners based in San Francisco who were at that time investigating the investment and lending practices of Lincoln Savings and Loan of Irvine, California, owned by my good friend and generous supporter Charles Keating.
And it's not what he was saying last year:
I was judged eventually, after three years, of using, quote, poor judgment, and I agree with that assessment.
urstretchingthetruth says:
And your point is? McCain was not disciplined or sanctioned for official misconduct.
Poor judgment? Is that like a "boneheaded" mistake as in accepting real estate favors from a convicted felon named Tony Rezko?
East Coast Gal says:
Yeah, the scary part of the O-Ayers relationship is just exactly WHAT they were doing together on the Annenberg Challenge. They didn't just "sit on a board" together; they were actually leading an effort to link Chicago school kids to radical groups in order to radicalize the kids and teachers to fight against US government "oppression and hate." What the heck is that all about?
