It is often said, in the political realm, that a win is a win is a win.
Under that presumption, John Arena, Nick Sposato, Toni Berrios (and “Big Daddy” Joe Berrios), Camille Lilly, Jesse White, Dorothy Brown, Jesse Jackson Jr., Mary Jane Theis, Patti Jo Cullerton and Rob Martwick have reason to be exuberantly exultant. They won, with only Berrios winning narrowly. Their opposition was thunderous, but ultimately ineffectual.
