From Bill Baar’s West Side
I also fell onto some interesting information about Raghuveer Nayak….He lives accross the street from Aiham Alsammarae…
Aiham Alsammarae
117 Covington Ct.
Oak Brook, IL
Raghuveer Novak
124 Covington Ct.
Oak Brook, IL>

Also attached is the listing for Alsammarae’s house, it’s ‘for sale’ for a mere $3,299,000…It’s funny that he purchased the home in 1999 for $525,000…He’s probably the only person in the U.S. who’s home went up in value 6x in the past 11 years.

Just days after being endorsed by the state’s largest employee union, the Quinn administration has reached a deal not to lay off any of the union’s members or close any facilities in which they work until at least mid-2012.

Under a tentative pact that the state says it expects to sign later this week, some 50,000 state workers who are members of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees would have their jobs protected until June 30, 2012 — a third of the way into the term of the next …

From WLS
“Show me the evidence that says I instructed anybody to do anything, and let me say it again, because I’m saying it to you on your show, and I have witnesses. So whatever happened to the idea that someone is innocent in America until proven guilty,” Jackson said.
Jackson admitted to Don and Roma that he was at a meeting with Nayak and another Indian businessman but couldn’t understand what they were saying because they spoke in a foreign language.

From the Sun Times
Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. directed a major political …

A voice from inside Chicago’s Cook County Jail claims that the Save A Life Foundation (SALF) story implicates both Democrat and Republican pols in Illinois.

The American Thinker reported last July 26 that the now-defunct Chicago suburb-based “charity” failed to report to the Illinois Attorney General’s office over $850,000 in grants received from Illinois and U.S. federal agencies. Earlier that month, I suggested elsewhere that a former SALF employee is jailed in Cook County for what she knows more than for what she’s alleged to have done.
Former SALF employee-turned-whistleblower Annabel Melongo …

Now that we won’t have a Daley to kick around much longer, let us ponder a Chicago City Council in the years AD. Will it continue to be a puppet show with a mayor pulling all the strings? Or might it turn into an actual legislative body?
Both Daleys, father and son, exerted dictatorial control over their 50-member councils—the father with an iron fist, the son with an admixture of carrots and sticks.

The father in his early terms was bothered by a single independent voice of reform—the late Leon M. Despres …

To non-Chicagoans…indeed tourists from throughout the world… Daley’s tenure has seemed exemplary and show-biz-like. During the nation’s boom times, he transformed the city, making it a vibrant center of the Midwest. City streets are festooned with plants and flowers ala Paris. For many Chicagoans, he was the country’s living embodiment that taxpayer-paid “bread and circuses” that made the rulers of ancient Rome popular. He re-did Chicago’s front yard with Millennium Park albeit with massive public overruns. He demolished the housing projects his father built for the poor, scattering …

In a series of events that has escaped the incumbent media, the Left Wing of the Democratic Part has been out in force exhibiting the liberalism they are famous for.
Here’s a crew (in what looks like Joliet) at an Adam Kinzinger apperance on Sept. 15th sporting signs calling the Republican military vet a Nazi

And the ever tolerant Organizing for America made an appearance in Hoffman Estates to spit on Andrew Breitbart and yell obscenities at him

From The Future of Capitalism Blog
The Times seems upset that Ms. O’Donnell isn’t a Senate candidate of the means that it prefers — say, John Forbes Kerry, he whose marriage to a ketchup heiress has enabled him to sail about in a $7 million yacht, or Senator Rockefeller of West Virginia, or the late Senator Kennedy of Hyannis Port and Palm Beach.

Since when did personal wealth become a prerequisite for running for office in America? You’d think that a political candidate who is poor would be the sort of development that …
